This Navajo scarf went everywhere with me in Paris. Doubt I'll ever get bored of it! I love Paris as much as I love my coffee but I'm still uncertain if i should make my way back next year, or should I head over to LA and NYC for a stint. Or do I embrace both? It's been a busy year and it's most definitely about to get busier, so we'll see.

On a lighter note, this Aztec journal from Anthropology totally killed it for me. Now to figure out how to buy all their rugs.

I arrived with leveled expectations and a porous mind. Amidst hearing so much about it, the thing about Paris is that people expect too much; from its beautiful flat cityscapes, romantic walkways, les grand musées and just the plain ambiance the city exudes. After day two i was pretty much convinced that I had been a skeptic and that everyone else was in fact, right. I was intrigued by everyone's savior-faire (tourists included). Intrigued by the echoes which lingered appreciatively in the museums long after the voices and sounds have dimmed. And how time halts when you're sipping your café crème at a cafe or neaby park.

A place where hearts and heads stop for art and literature. I'm not sure if it felt romantic, but it is a place that might very well consume you. Especially if you live and breath existentialism like the legandary Simone de Beauvoir.

In case you were wondering, that blue you see in the lake is real; it's the crater lake of Maly Semyachik Volcano in Russia. It's a hot, acidic lake that fills the active Troitsky Crater, which formed during a large explosive eruption of Ceno-Semiachik about 400 years ago. What a sight.

It's a never ending infatuation I have with the amount of underlying detail Phoebe Philo injects into every piece of her collection. As they say, there's nothing more essential to the urban woman's uniform than a statement coat. Celine's PF collection this year proves that they have so much more under their sleeves. From intricately cut pieces to deep metallic detail, it seemed deceivingly simple. I'll always remember when i first held and sorted out their resort collection at work back in '09 and went completely insane. Some things you really have to experience first hand. I've been keeping their lookbooks ever since.

I love each and every piece from this Aussie-based brand. There is just something about Australian designers that makes my clock tick; their sheer ability to present us with pieces with character.

I was about to add a few of these into my cart, when i decided to check their facebook page. The beauty about fashion today is that communication works two-ways; If you want to know about a brand, you ask their fans. To my dismay...never have a seen a page with so many complaints. I love their stuff, but i dropped my order. Sad really - their collection is honestly one of a kind. This serves as good reminder for me to ensure that our customer service remains top notch, no matter how big we become one day.

It's so easy to keep a girl happy. I've been ordering tons of stuff online for X'mas and the one thing that made me the happiest was this. The Circus Bookazine is a series of books written & documented by writers / bloggers from all over the globe covering various segments like travel, fashion and more. Each issue would cover a specific category. Their first issue was undoubtedly, about fashion.

Unfortunately, they will not be able to come out with the second issue due to financial constraints and I'm sure it devastated more people than just me. The good news is that they'll be coming up with many more exciting projects like their upcoming iPad app and more - so I'm really looking forward to that.

Anke from the editorial team has agreed to work on an interview so i can't wait to hear what's in store for Circus in 2011. Can't wait to get past the new year madness and jump into next year.

Taipei, X'mas Eve

I really dread year-ends because I have this undying habit of reviewing and checking in on what i've achieved throughout the year. But this time, the need to review & look into my existing plans has never been so dire. Overall, 2010 has proven to be nothing short of an exhilarating ride.

In just one year i've had the opportunity to meet & work with a handful of very passionate people in the industry and i simply cannot ask for more. I spoke to a really good friend of late and it only occurred to me then-- when people start to view your business in a much larger sense than what it actually is; you know you're doing something right. Well..at least it's a start to a good start. Did i even make sense there? Heeh. So, 2011 will be a year for me to push the envelope further. I need my dream team. xx

I love spending my weekends sourcing for raw materials and gems. I was pleasantly surprised to find some pyrite clusters at a nearby store; they're so beautiful and sexy. Yes, I said sexy. I love it when i find them raw and clustered. All in all, i've been planning on working on a little something for a while now. I'm hoping that my upcoming project will work out smoothly; given that I am blessed enough to successfully find the materials I've been looking for. I painted my nails in suede, midnight green. I'm so bad at doing my own nails. ho ho.

In crystal healing, pyrite clusters have energy shielding qualities and they're great with blocking out negativity and fatigue. We'll see how that pans out shall we!
